Motivated by the increasing demand for marine logistics in the eastern region of Indonesia, KCT Group established the shipping division, PT. Pelayaran Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari (PNEP), in 1992 with a modest single fleet cosisting of a 100 dwt Landing Craft Tank (LCT) named LCT Eka.

Throughout the 1990s to early 2000, PNEP mainly focused on delivering logistic solutions to the eastern region of Indonesia, especially in Maluku and Irian Jaya. In 2010, PNEP acquired the first contract with major oil and gas firm, PT. Total E&P Indonesie. Since then PNEP has experienced amazing growth and is now considered a major marine company in Indonesia.

Today, PNEP owns and operates a diverse fleet of more than 90 vessels including Platform Support Vessel (PSV), Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessel (AHTS), Utility vessel, Landing Craft Tank, Crew boat and other specialized vessels such as firefighting and patrol boats. We pride ourselves in delivering safe, reliable and efficient marine services.

With headquarters in Surabaya, East Java, PNEP has five regional offices and five maintenance facilities. This allows us to stay close to our operational sites and deliver reliable and efficient support to our fleets.
